Pharmacy faculty, students team with Michigan Medicine to make hand sanitizer
In recent weeks, Michigan Medicine has been experiencing a shortage of hand sanitizer—along with many other US hospitals and communities—due to an increased demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Realizing the need, the College of Pharmacy purchased the raw ingredients needed to make hand sanitizer. Now, faculty and students in Michigan Medicine’s Department of Pharmacy have started making hand sanitizer for the health system to use.
This is just one example of how the University of Michigan community is coming together during this time to support the health and safety of its members.
